Corporate team building is a necessary component for survival in today's business environment. By engaging in the ultimate corporate team building exercises and activities at JWorld Sailing, you'll go far beyond a ropes course, golf retreat, or other conventional team building activities. Instead, our team building exercises focus on working together in groups in an extremely dynamic and demanding environment, with constantly changing forces requiring you to think and act fast. It's definitely challenging, but at the end of the day, you'll be a better team player for it.

What we are able to accomplish in a day of team building is:

Challenge the individual participant’s beliefs about themselves and their skills as leaders. We do this in the classroom presentation and on-the-water with a series of objective-driven simulations and tasks that dramatically demonstrate the necessity of powerful leadership and the consequences of its absence.

Introduce a more “reality-based” leadership model to examine participants’ leadership within their respective organizations. We do this in the classroom presentation and on-the-water with a series of objective-driven simulations and tasks that reward effective leadership behavior while clearly demonstrating the consequences of poor leadership.

Create an environment wherein they may experiment with new behaviors and receive instant and honest feedback. We do this in the classroom and on-the-water. This experiential learning occurs with the help of the boat, its crew, Mother Nature, and a series of objective-driven simulations and tasks. Mother Nature and the boat provide immediate feedback on the efforts of the leader and the team against their goals. Neither is afraid to dramatically relay this feedback. Participants also experience the reality of interdependency through simulations and tasks with one another, other teams, and within their respective organizations.

Allow participants multiple opportunities to commit to experimenting with new leadership behaviors based upon all they have learned during the day. We do this throughout the classroom presentation, on-the-water, and while participating in simulations and tasks.

To sum this up, we know leadership. We know how to get people to think differently about leadership. We provide them with a multi-sensory, experiential, and visceral learning experience. At a minimum, every participant will take away some good ideas. Commonly, the vast majority of the participants leave excited, challenged, committed to new approaches, possessing some new tools and models, and quite often wanting more.
