Full-Day Corporate Team Building

Teams are often able to devote a full day of their meeting agenda to teambuilding. With the added time, J/World TeamBuilding is able to extend a fuller and richer day. Beginning the day in our water-side classroom is a stimulating presentation on teams, team building, and leadership. The remainder of the morning is spent on the water, putting new skills into practice. Teams are encouraged and rewarded for using new skills to reach goals and achieve objectives. After a tasty lunch, the teams return to the water to experience increasingly difficult and complex challenges to hone in on individual and team learning. The day draws to a close during a dockside wrap-up session that summarizes and bridges the day’s activities and learning back to the workplace.

J/World TeamBuilding can provide and incorporate any 360 degree feedback tool or any other specific training methodology or content into our courses. While we are based in San Diego, California, J/World TeamBuilding is available throughout the world.

Typical Full Day Team Building Agenda

• 9:00:  Group arrives at J/World facility.
• 9:00 – 10:00:  Group assembles in J/World classroom to; set both individual and team goals for the day, discuss current team’s strengths and weaknesses, and consider both the benefits and difficulties of injecting new behaviors into existing teams.
• 10:15 – 11:00:  Teams and instructors board their J/80’s and depart to learn the basics of sailing and the roles and positions the participants will play on the boat throughout the day.
• 11:00 – 12:00:  Teams and their onboard instructors engage in competitive and/or cooperative activities on the water.
• 12:00 – 1:00:  Teams return to the docks for a break and a working lunch.  The large group debriefs the morning activities and recalibrates the goals and activities for the remainder of the day.
• 1:00 – 4:00:  Teams return to the water to continue on with the days competitive and/or cooperative activities.  Feedback from the morning session is utilized to increase the complexity and intensity of the on-the-water activities.
• 4:00 – 5:00:  Teams return and dock their boats.  The large group re-assembles waterside to debrief the day’s events, share the day’s learning, and create strategies to put this learning into daily use.  Our most popular “add-on” is the addition of wine/beer & appetizers to this afternoon, waterside debrief session.
• 5:00:  Group departs J/World facility.
